Meet The Bloggers

ChristyChristy Newell

~ Mother & wife, blogger, educator, foodie

Toot! Toot! Welcome aboard! My name is Christy and I am the creator/host of The Giveaway Train (or as my son would say… the conductor).
From Los Angeles to the mountains, life has been an adventure! I live in the mountains near Yosemite National Park (near Bass Lake) with my husband, our two children, and our Weimaraner ~ Captain Shadow. I was a stay-at-home-mom for years, and wanted to help provide for my family. I started blogging in June 2010 in hopes of reviewing products my family could use on a daily basis. My love for reviewing turned into a love for giving my readers my honest opinion, finding amazing deals, sharing recipes and crafts, and so much more. Now in 2014 I am a mother of two wonderful children , blogger, and a first grade teacher. Thanks to my wonderful sponsors, I have been able to review amazing products, attended numerous events... and even my friends have shared in my good fortune. I am happy to review and/or giveaway just about anything you have to offer… clothing, cleaning products, beauty products, etc. If my family can use it, then I am ready to test it out!

theresaTheresa Oster ~ Mother & wife, educator & reader, blogger, crafter

I started living life one year ago. My husband and I packed up our kids, dogs, possessions, and moved to the mountains for a fresh start. With Yosemite National Park in our "backyard," we are able to raise our children in a beautiful environment while both having the jobs of our dreams.

I am blessed to be an online English teacher through one of the largest online public schools. Literature is my passion, reading is my vice, and middle school tweens are favorite age group. I teach to inspire the love of reading, the passion of books, the magic of words. Teaching is not my job, it is my passion.

When I am not being a mother, wife, and teacher I am artist of my own creations. I enjoy creating art, re-purposing simple objects, blogging about the things I love, and enjoying the beauty of nature from my front porch.
